Because I’m pretty sure this is approaching, or is past that point.
I know they run crazy setups in Formula Drift to get as much steering lock as possible, but at least most try to cover at least half of the tire.

While you are correct that it is not a sport, it is definitely not pointless. I consider it a form of art. Like going to a musical performance or a ballet except instead of music and dancers, you have tire smoke and sliding cars. The engineering behind professional level drift cars is actually quite impressive too. But really I just love the wall of sound and gigantic cloud of intoxicating burnt rubber.

Even though Mad Mike’s is technically an NC chassis, I vote his is better because 4 rotor and not a turbo 20B.

The last thing I want to do is get drawn into a typical barroom sports discussion because that’s stupid, but...
Many sports like ice skating, snowboarding, skiing, and yes, car racing, have different events that are either objectively timed/measured, and events that are subjectively judged. They are still the same basic activity. The lack of objective scoring in some of the forms of those activities does not make them not-sports.
Then you have gymnastics which is all judged events and it’s still a sport.
