parts shipping containers and dunnage are significant costs to production, why wouldn’t someone buy used containers if they’re available? besides, they were most likely actually bought/used by a supplier.

That’s the same type of plastic box used by Iron Mountain to transport backup media to/from customer sites. They’ll survive a nuclear holocaust alongside cockroaches and Ford 300 c.i. I6 engines.
