Leaving today on a trip with my family during a tornado/hail watch, but I have to leave my cars at home. There’s no room for them in the garage, so... The Soul gets a 3/4" piece of wood and a 1/2" piece of Styrofoam (better than nothing) because they’re the only things I could readily find and it’s the most important of my babies... Then again, the Escort is currently uninsured, so maybe it needs protection more.....

But anyway, yeah. Here’s to hoping I come back to two undented cars.

Hail is stupid. It’s one of the many reason I don’t want to live near Minneapolis, for some reason they get several real hail stroms a year. I frequently find hail damaged cars on CL down there.

You stole my trash can! Be safe...the storms are coming in waves today. The afternoon batch is supposed to be worse.

It’s really dense wood. Probably ~30lbs. So if it does blow away, I think I have bigger problems than hail.

I actually have some old thrift store comforters I’ve used on the Fiat since the last hail damage claim. They seem to dull the impact enough that it hasn’t ended up golf-balled again.

Yay for flash flooding. I’ve actually stayed mostly dry today

Whoa! Around where was this? I’m kind of jealous. Minor flooding is my favorite kind of weather as long as nothing important is lost. It’s just kinda surreal looking.

Athens. I agree. I grew up with a couple creeks behind my house. I was always fascinated by how a little rain could raise the level so much
