shit. I’m sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel any better, I had my own spill on the SV in deals gap.

helmet is done. needs to be replaced (if you are lucky, call up the company and see if they can send you a new/discounted one)

I am mad because it was my own dumb fault for taking a corner too fast, and for just plain not respecting the machine, its limits, and the realities of risk on two wheels.

if you learned your lesson, and the bike isnt too bad, and YOU are fine, then its a good outcome. granted, always nicer to NOT have it happen in the first place, but eh.

hope the recovery is quick! and that the wife aint too mad.

Sorry to hear you wiped out. I took a hard tumble on my bike last year. A couple of people stopped to see if I was ok, I played it off and said I was fine. The next thing I knew, I was on a trail 5 miles from where I was supposed to and called my wife to ask her how to get back — she of course had no idea where I was or WTF was going on. I finally snapped out of it enough to find my way back. I ended up having scraped up the helmet, cracked the helmet’s internal composite lining, and tore up my shoulder and knee. Hopefully you’ll have a quick recovery.
