Kinja'd!!!

Is this a crash test vehicle for sale?

I thought they were all crushed after they were crash tested.

It probably depends, who paid the testing.

Some of the damaged cars are sold via co-part or other auctions. When I worked for Mazda some backyard bodyshop came in buying parts for a crashed CX-5 he bought at auction. The VIN matched the one we sold to the place in Burlington WI that does NHTSA testing.

As far as I know, not all of them. IIRC, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety keeps a lot of the cars they test. Don’t they have a museum of sorts on their campus where they have some of the most notable examples in the organization’s history? Like when they tested that old Bel Air against the Malibu? Or the Pontiac Trans Sport, or the early 00's F-150 that both did poorly?
