Short on drivers at work today. I get to take this beautiful machine out to pick up a customer car. The raw power and luxury embodied by this thing may spoil me.

Also, I got stuck behind a Saab 97X 4.2i that was going about 45 in a 65 mph zone.

My Corolla experience as a driver was trying to get a coworker’s Corolla unstuck on a sheet of ice in the parking lot. Ended up pulling him out with my truck.

But I could tell, man that thing coddled you and it had the best steering feel you could ask for. older BMWs can’t touch this

A fried of mine bought one identical to that at an auction for 700 bucks. It’s not pretty but it runs flawlessly. Sometimes I get jealous of its simplicity.

It won’t die. It had an issue a while back with the key so our sunroof tech just disconnected the park interlock switch. Now it runs great, although it has a shake at around 70 that makes it disconcerting to drive.

Yeah he’s been driving it to Minneapolis (a 9 hour round trip) once a week for a year now without major incident.

My mom bought one just like that brand new in 2000. A CE model. The three models available were VE, CE, and LE. After she finished selecting options and accessories, her CE was as costly as an LE.

Either way, it did what Corollas do and ran without trouble for five years until my stepdad ran a stop sign and totaled it by broadsiding a Cadillac DeVille. The DeVille was able to drive away and the Corolla had both airbags deployed and was puking oil and coolant at an alarming rate. It sat in our garage for a month until the insurance company finally came and got it and hauled it away.
