I’ve just about wrapped up the main story and all of the side quests. Only have the final mission left need to beat the game before the new patch comes out. Will be looking for people to play online with on XBONE.

I am quite enjoying it on Xbox one. I don’t have live anymore though and multiplayer doesn’t interest me.

I’m playing (slowly). Complaints about animation and voice acting seem overblown to me (don’t think it’s any worse than previous games). My main complaints are with annoying interface issues (playing on PC, maybe things worth better with a controller). A few other annoyances as well, but generally enjoying things.

I’m playing. Whenever I succeed in prying the console away from a younger sibling, have enough energy, am not desperately trying to catch up on car issues, or swamped at work. So... sporadically, is what I’m saying. I’m still only to Desert Planet (Eos) and Ice Planet (whatever the name is) in single player.

My read is this - everything that is good is good in a way that entertains and is engaging, and everything that is bad is bad in a way that amuses the hell out of me. Like the two times characters in dialogue have had seizures, and the time I was talking to two copies of the same crewmate, one inside the other.

Lovely. I just read the notes on the patch. Sounds like it will help the game a lot. May end up getting it now since I was genuinely looking forward to it.

I’m not so much waiting on the patch as just don’t have much time to game during the week, so probably won’t play again until it is out regardless. Nothing in there that seems like a super-critical fix though.

Actually, there is a possible bug I’ve had with people not showing up where they’re supposed to be. They may have reset since I got off-planet, but if they’re still not there, it may be a problem for completing the game. That would be a big one.

by glitch I managed to romance both Peebee and Cora, and while interspecies sex is A-ok to bioware / EA, polyamory is apparently a no-no in 2816. They are “fixing the glitch” which sucks.

It’s a good game but it does have some issues. The hype train blew those issues way out of proportion. There isn’t really anything that ruins the game in any way.

Only initially, If you dont hook up with her, there is the option to have a deeper relationship. So what happened was early in the game i flirted with both her and Cora. The Cora “rose garden” mission happened and i kissed her and committed to her, as Peebee’s side quests go longer. Then at the end of Peebee’s quests, I had the option to commit to her as well, so i did it. then after completing meridian, I had the option to sleep with both of them. apparently this messes up the Movie Night mission at the end, with both romances superimposed over each other, which could have been an easy fix to allow for you to have two romances. however, they are just going to change it so you can only have one “deep” romance with one person. kind of pisses me off that polyamory isn’t more common and acceptable in 2816. Granted all parties need to be OK with it, and it seems like Peebee for sure would be, and Cora is a former asari commando... so who knows lol.

It would take quite a bit of work to make polygamous relationships work. You would need a whole bunch of new dialog and interactions to set up who’s into it and who’s not, a bunch of new animations and cutscenes, and a host of other changes to make it all work and make logical sense. All that compared to a small change to ensure the player character can only have one romantic partner.

I get that it would be a lot of work to retro that content in, but, the only part that is really broken is the ending movie night scene which could be fixed without much work.

I could see it being something that happens between squadmates in the future but I doubt we would ever see it for the player character. At least not beyond some kind of packaged deal kinda thing.
