I think all of the hate is unjustified. Say what you want about how they attained their socioeconomic status; I will always assume that you’re just jealous! IMO their videos are unbelievably generous and not just for preteens fantasizing about owning a supercar some day.
These gentlemen dedicate the majority of their free time to filming their incredible lifestyles for us normies to watch, and I really appreciate that. As far as I’m concerned, their European adventures are like my favorite Top Gear films on steroids: better car and location variety, more of an inside scoop, and far less contrived.
It’s not all about showing off their extravagance, and I think they try really hard to avoid the unsavory arrogance and entitlement that often accompany being a 1%er. You won’t catch me watching a Salmondrin video - I’m not on that level - but I will check out almost everything these gentlemen upload. Their films are judiciously edited, always fun, and genuinely epic sometimes. Also, they’re SO good at talking and driving. It’s impressive. I’m not telling you to subscribe, but if you like cars and have ever fantasized about tearing around Europe in something cool, browsing their uploads should be pretty entertaining for you. Just skip the vlogs, and head straight for the films. The comment featured in the screenshot I took came from this video:

It’s the GT4 Lusso launch (in a beautiful setting, of course), and Shmee was just being silly in JWW’s video, which triggered that hater. Tim was just having a good time, being himself on camera. Why can’t we all just be chill!? (rhetorical...)
edit: just, just, just, just. Apparently I need to add that word to my writing “no no” list because I use it too often. Darn...

I like Shmee’s stuff.
Occasionally he can come across a little smarmy but I get that from some people who certainly aren’t 1%ers.
I like watching RoyalJordanian’s motorbike stuff around London as well, it won’t set your life on fire but it’s interesting to watch life go by and little snippets of when life gets more interesting briefly.

Yeah I do t think hate is necessary and maybe there are some legitimate reasons to not like him or whatever but all I know is his intro is still really annoying and he should change it.

As a general rule, I cannot into bikes but I have enjoyed other POV style moto vids in London. Because Anglophile. This was fun! Maybe I will subscribe. The chill English mom talking shop in a bullet proof vest while holding an assault rifle was priceless

The whole intro thing is 100% “personal branding” but I see where you’re coming from. From a marketing perspective they kinda have to stick to one intro if their subscribers are so used to it that they’ll complain when it doesn’t happen.

I think it’s just the contrast between Ben’s editing and Tim’s. The former is much more cinematic while the latter is very rushed. James is the best contrast between a good videographer, editor, and overall host. His spontanious trip in HK and with various racecar drivers shows his true nature pretty well.

I’m not a bike guy, far from it in fact.
It’s nice seeing real life happening on TV rather than fiction TV, dramas, sole destroying news, etc...
That’s the good thing about our police (sure there are the occasional a-hole) are approachable to find information or just to chat with for a few minutes.

I like them quite a lot as well, same with Supercars of London though I feel like Paul’s content has more or less stayed consistent while STG has continued to improve so I tend to watch STG first (sorry Paul if you’re listening).
Meanwhile Salomondrin is just knocking it out of the park, he’s easily my favorite YouTube subscription at the moment

Seb Denney is another up and comer I genuinely enjoy. A refreshing take on car reviews that differs from the traditional british guys. Really enjoyed his Exige Sport 380 delivery series.

He’s not for everyone. Personally I’ve never truly understood the disdain towards wealthy youtubers over their wealth. There are certainly people who have a certain attitude as a result of their money and how they came by it, but Salomondrin geniunely seems like someone who worked hard, got a little lucky, and now is just having fun and sharing it with us.

Seb is fun but a tad childish for me. I don’t mean that as an insult to him, but he’s certainly young and acts about like I would expect someone his age to act. I watch some of his content but I don’t find him as watchable as some of the others. I think as he matures he’ll be more in line with Sam and Tim.

A lot of people hate on the English youtubers because most if not all came from money. Shmee for example... his dad bought him a seat on the stock exchange as a graduation gift, and that’s where he got the money to start his own businesses IIRC. They are all successful in their own right, but at least a few if not all had 6 figures of help along the way

Exactly. I admire it, I wish I could have owned a sweet lotus at 20. I just can’t handle watching someone that young alone for very long. I subscribe, and I’m looking forward to seeing where he goes, but he’s not my favorite youtuber
