Some guy is selling lowering springs.
He wants $105usd($140cad), they retailed for $310usd. He had them on for 2 years. They are around -1.4” (F & R) of drop, on the box, once they settled he says he got closer to -1.6” of drop. Is it worth it buying used springs or better buying new?

I have no reason to believe the springs on my daily driver aren’t 26 years old with 527,000km on them. Except the front passenger side, that one came out of a plow truck with 245,000km on it because the end of the original coil snapped off. Full disclosure the replacement came out of the driver’s side because the donor’s passenger cool had snapped off in the same spot... corrosion under the hold-down clamp I think in both cases. Sure they’re a little sagged but they still do their job well enough.
As long as they’re of good quality, in good shape and haven’t been abused, (no cuts, evidence of heating to reshape, major rust, that sort of thing) then I see no reason why used springs wouldn’t work out as far as safety or anything else is concerned.

It has 7" of ground clearance stock, I’ll still have 5.5" (ish) of ground clearance.
