Kinja'd!!!

All this does is ensure that anything more than a 3mph bump is gonna cost you a LOT of money. Also it looks tacky and stupid.

Makes sense in cities where alot of parallel parking occurs since so many people view parallel parking as a contact sport. About half of the newish cars I see in New York have some form of bumper protection.

I’ve seen those rubber mats people hang from their trunks whenever I’m in NY. In this case I think I’d rather have the bumper damage, that push bar is hideous.

I agree on the push bars. Gross and overkill. There’s just a good reason for seeing so many of them in populated areas.

Yeah, and they leave them on all the time instead of throwing them in the trunk when they’re ready to pull out.

I feel like 90% of those bumper buddies are on Nissan Altimas. Seems unlikely to actually be true, but that’s my perception.

Parallel parked in a busy area for the first time in forever a couple weekends ago, came back to find my front license plate bent, though luckily didn’t see any actual damage to the bumper. People need to be more cautious around other people’s stuff.

I think we ’ re all missing the most important part of this picture: It ’ s a Lexus. With an aftermarket part on it. That ’ s a unicorn. (IS300 excepted, I don ’ t think there are any stock versions left).

Idk, once was a passenger in a GMT400 Blazer that would have been anhilated if it didnt have a brush guard. unfortunately it anhilated a poor 200C that stopped short.
