I always felt like they were more grippy then High Performance AS's should be.

Well that’s 140 better than my Cooper Zeon RS3-S summers. Although Dunlop Direzzas DZ102 summers are around 440 I think.

That’s insane for an all season, what are they?

Toyo calls them a high performance all season. That probably has more to do with it than the treadwear rating.

The Yokohama Avid S34D that came stock on my wife’s Impreza has a ridiculous 320 treadwear rating and they suck at all things. They are not a high performance all-season and they’re not good in the snow.

The BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S that we replaced them with have a 400 treadwear rating. They’re an “ultra high performance all-season” tire that is legit grippy in dry/wet, and also genuinely works in the snow, if not quite up to the level of a proper winter tire.

They’re stellar tires and I recommend them to anyone looking for a sporty, year-round tire as long as they’re not looking for the absolute plushest ride. They’re fine for a sporty tire and our Impreza is a comfy car anyway.

I’m happy with these Toyos. Good wet & dry grip. For what I do they are perfect. I have dedicated winter tires, so I have no clue how these do in snow.
