This is an iPod I have that still works ... purchased in late 2003, and it contains pretty much every CD I owned (or might still own). So right now it’s playing Glenn Gould doing the Beethover #1 piano concerto. If you gave me a few months to practice I just might get back, but let’s leave this to a real pianist. And do your best to save the National Endowment for the Arts, because it makes concerts like this possible.
And yes - I am very probably 30 or more years older than you ... so someone get me a glass of water!

But...but the first gen iPod Touch came out in 2007! :P
I still have every song I’ve owned since childhood. My first iPod was a second gen Nano.

You are correct - so I suppose I had iPod before, identically programmed - we are spoiled. She get a lot of free Apple stuff from the school she works for, so I have, for instance, an iPhone 6S Plus that I got for free, b/c she gets all this gear. So far we’ve avoided the 7 b/c who wants to get earbuds ripped out of their ears on the subway. But there are 2 iPhones, 2 iPads, a Mac Mini, and the aforementioned iPod in my eyeline, and who knows how much more gear we have here ... given lots of iPhones to my sister and a couple friends, so we’re trying to share the wealth.

Knew a guy who knew a guy who ... no, Miss Mercedes correctly smacked me down - it’s the same playlist that I had on an earlier iPod, I just thought I’d had just the single appliance all along.

I did give away a Logitech wheel and pedals, and a Gran Turismo disk - so winner, make yourself known. But of course watch this space - if I have things that my family can use, they come first, but we’ve given phones to friends, and Oppo is right up there. Nothing at this point, but there might be a Lifeproof case for a 6 Plus or 6S Plus coming up - and it might not work, entirely, but it’ll protect your phone. Just pay the shipping ... and no, usually do that myself.

SigOther said go to the Upper West Side Apple store ... replace your wheezing Mac Mini. Get a giant iPad, with a keyboard she said. So right, about $1200 later I have this thing, and I have big hands, so the keyboard doesn’t quite work for me.
And, put the mini on our dumb plasma TV ( Pioneer, astonishing picture ) to make it smart, which it does, a bit, but the problem with the little computer was it was near the radiator - turns out it runs just fine when moved to the other side of the room. So that was an exercise in futility.
So when SigOther gets back we’ll have yet another iPad, another iPhone, and a MacBook in this apartment. And there’s a Japanese iPhone 5 somewhere that needs recycling ... clearly we need an intervention.

No no, you’re fine!! You two still don’t hoard as much as I do! :) I have:
Two iMac G3s, an iPod Nano 6th gen, an iPad 2, a CDMA iPhone 4, a 2007 MacBook, and a 2008 MacBook.
And on the Android side of things, I have a Nextbit Robin, the Honor 8, a Nexus 5X, a Galaxy S3 Mini, and the Droid Mini I’m typing on right now..
I’m probably going to pick up a couple more iPhones as the year goes on, possibly the 10th anniversary edition too if it’s what I hope to be.

Well, I think you won this round young lady, but somewhere around here there’s a small iPod that I got her for her birthday in 2008, and I have a Sony VCR that STILL WORKS. Godzilla protects it ... and she likes the clock feature, so I am not permitted to throw it out ...

Sold it to get my first Android, my Nexus 5X. I should have kept it! It was my favourite phone ever and I got it like only a couple days after I came out. I miss that old thing <3

Oh my! Now that is amazing. My VCR works, though not only is it all beat up but my videos look hilariously bad on a modern TV. XD
