It is street legal, as all rally cars need to be since they drive on the street during rallies. The ability to daily depends on the amount of modifications. This one is nearly stock, so it shouldn’t be difficult to deal with. It’ll be louder since all the sound deadening is gone, and the five point belts mean there’s on such thing as setting off quickly (and doom on you if you drop something on the floor while driving). No cupholders, no radio (actually, maybe radio?), probably no AC, but if you’re cool with all that you should be okay. This car does have the halo seats, which good news means they’ll keep you from shattering your skull in the cage in a crash, but bad news they’ll cut down on your peripheral/side visibility.
Oh, if you live in an inspection state you will have to find the “right” inspection station, that will sticker it despite not having air bags or the traditional type of seat belt.

Was wondering if I could drive it on the street, then I saw the photo with the license plate. This may be bad for my wallet.
My only hope of saviour is that I’m lazy. Possibly too lazy to travel 12 ish hours to Virginia.

Thats awesome. My wife would kill me if I bought it. I don’t think she would like it when I’d tell her “ you’re getting the kitchen remodeled so I get a rally car”. Its going to be tough enough to sell her on hi-flow cats for the Audi and then a performance Haldex controller.
Did you see my reply to you about the rally in Chillicothe? I’ll be there. If you need an extra hand for any wrenching I’m available. Just let me know so I can load whatever I can to help. Jack, stands, tools etc.

Are we sure these pics aren’t from before it had a livery? There’s some pretty hellacious artifacting in the image files. In an otherwise clear image, that tends to only come from editing the image...

I’m really only intending to build for local SCCA RallyX. That’s a hell of a deal on the Fiesta so far. I also only had the cash to invest that I sold my Montego for...which wasn’t enough for this fiesta anyhow.
And it doesn’t say Mercury on it.

Took a closer look at the photos, it has the Rally Ready sticker on the side of the hood, which means it’s a newer photo. Whatever’s causing the artifacting, it’s not the graphics being digitally added.
