I’ve been shopping vintage Seiko 5 on eBay. There are a bunch out of India that are reconditioned and under $40 for almost any model.
On my wrist today is vintage Heuer 844 Monnin. Sometimes with a Bond band , now with black,grey,orange NATO. I did a post on it about 6 months ago.

Nice, I like it. Sometime I’ll have to post a picture of my collection. I have cheap and semi-pricey stuff. I switch it up sometimes but have several favorites.

s crystal blew off during an EVA. Needing a timepiece for obvious reasons he used his personal watch, a Bulova Chrono with the tuning fork Accutron movement. This watch is an homage with similar styling and the newer 262 Hz three prong quartz.
Man, that sounds like advertising copy doesn’t it? Time to switch career to advertisement.

Seikos unite! Mine wishes it was Saturday already. My wife gave this to me as a present on our wedding day and I pretty much have worn it every day since then (1.5 years at this point).
Also have a Seiko 5 that’s about 20 years old at this point that was my brothers which he stopped using...no idea why. Needs a bit of a clean up but works perfectly fine.

I dig some of the Bulova Accutron II series where they’ve been bringing back classic watches, if not exactly as before, then close to it. My favorites are the Snorkel and especially the Lobster with the mesh bands.

That’s a great design. I’ve fallen in love with Seikos. The last four watches I’ve bought have been Seikos.

Thanks! That photo was a quick snap at the office, so lighting is horrible and the angle makes the face look funky – but it truly is a design that I find very attractive. Seiko makes great watches…I had a couple of Tissots before, while not particularly “expensive” in the world of watches I’ve just gotten past that point in my life where I really care. The Seikos offer me the same level of functionality and reliability in an attractive package at a cheaper price, so why not.
