I watched a guy almost do that with an Enfield once. We stopped him. Then Mr dumbass me grabbed a short stock and got my face too close to the bolt. Knocked a tooth back. Still have it, just a bit back from where it was...

Reasons like this are why I have a hard time getting behind the short stock ARs. My FIL has one with an extendable stock, and even with it extended, my head is damn near touching the optic. Granted I’m tall, but I literally can’t aim when its shortened, unless I want to hold it out in front of me.

Just give me a nice battle rifle like an HK91 or a FAL, and I’ll be happy.
