Today’s annoyance, if you’re gonna message someone about buying car parts; Read the damn post!
I’ve had a set of brand new 5x100 RPF1s for sale for awhile now. The most common applications are Toyobarus and older WRXs, so they’ve naturally been posted primarily to FB groups for those cars.
I’ve had about 5 people now start messaging, some even got close to buying, only to realize after talking with me for awhile that the wheels are 5x100 (they usually need 5x114). It says multiple times in all my posts (including the heading of sales posts) that the wheels are 5x100.
I just had some dude argue with me that I was asking too much, because someone could just order the wheels brand new for exactly what I was asking from TR w/ free shipping. I was confused because I know my price is over $100 better than TR’s. He argued for about 5 minutes then sent a screenshot, he was looking at wheels for a 2007 Civic. -_-
Reading comprehension, people! It’s not that difficult. Especially when I repeat 5x100 multiple times.

They are, but my price ($880) is really only a good one if you can buy locally around IL, IN, WI, or MI. If you lived anywhere further and they had to be shipped, it’d work out to almost the same as a brand new set with free shipping from an online retailer.

You know what’s worse than people who ask that question when the ad is still up. The people who edit the ad to say sold after they sold it. Instead of you know deleting it.

I had a co-worker who kept complaining his PC wasn’t working as he needed 2 specific matched sticks of Ram. He was tired of hearing about us playing games and he couldn’t join us.
I checked my box of bits and found these specific sticks. I brought them into the office and offered him a fair price ($20) as it was literally in a box. He immediately said I was trying to fleece him as he could get it cheaper on X website. He emailed me a link of the wrong type of Ram and only 1 stick instead of 2.
I commented on this and he again remained firm that he wouldn’t pay my outrageous fee. I shrugged, took the package back and started talking about the video games again.
4 weeks later he hadn’t bought the Ram he needed and when he whined I mocked his laziness and general outlook on life.
Yeah...people...sometimes they just want to complain instead of doing anything.

I drive a BRZ and am basically always selling/upgrading parts. I listed the stock catback for sale after I put on my Perrin one and some dude asked me if it would fit on a 2007 Honda Fit. After that I was done with craigslist and just hoard all of my stock parts in my garage. I’m gonna make a statue out of them one day.

I just got one. It was a text with nothing but the title of the post. Figured it was fishy, but asked if they were interested. Next text had awkward wording and said they weren’t local and couldn’t pay cash, but could do a bankers check.
Deleted messages and blocked the number. lol

For new wheels that’s a pretty good price! Local guy is selling some used RPF1s 17x9 5x100 with tires for $800. If I wasn’t buying a house, my car would be getting a third pair of shoes :).

It’s exactly what I paid for them. Bought them on a Black Friday Special from the “local hook up guy” for the Subaru crowd, and despite me confirming that I was order +35 about three times, he delivered +45. I kinda brought it up, and he gave me some b.s. excuse. I should’ve pushed it further, but decided not to at the time because +45 would still work. Later decided I’d prefer the +35 if I can get them, and found a decent deal on some through Oakos. So if someone will buy these for what I paid, I’ll spend the extra ~$140 to get the size I originally wanted in a better color.
