I have a debilitating fear of heights - I had to skip that video last night and watch it this morning. I could not watch a video of a buddy skydiving that he sent me ... I’m hopeless.

My family used to go to that ski place every year. Good times, lots of trails.

More than once I have said to my brother-in-law - how is it logical to stand on a slippery surface, strap even slipperier things to your feet, and POINT YOURSELF DOWNHILL??! Can’t understand that ....

No, not crazy.

The run is well defined and shorter than is seems. Packed down from others allowing easier control. Minimal drop at entry. Opens at just as you gain speed.

Looks fun.

I’d kill myself ... I’m utterly uncoordinated and have a debilitating fear of heights. I can’t even imagine doing that ....

Because you want to go fast. I don’t know. Never gone skiing or snowboarding

We have an apartment in a 105 year old building - the paint was drying when the Titanic went down. On Monday, they came to replace the windows. We’re on the 9th floor, and I had to stand well back to keep from passing out ...

New windows are the shit, so much better for heating, cooling, and sound deadening!

You just gotta lean into the front of the skis, kinda like you are trying to fall over the front of them. If you lean back - what most people do out of self-preservation - you are screwed. It is unnatural to be leaning forward down a steep angle but it is the best way to maintain control.

These are great - easy to tilt in and clean ... just a big deal to get installed. We’re still waiting for a custom window that will put in next week. Apparently 105 year old buildings don’t have windows that are all uniform. Go figure ....

That’s a quick drop with a nice run-out. I’d do it. Be scary as shit but I’d have a look.
