I went searching for a special Doggo pic when..
I forgot about this machine. This was the machine that got me out of Quads and deep into trikes. 10.5:1 compression, aftermarket cam, ported/polished head, a primary carb off of an XL350R and a gutted DG pipe, original (and perfect) plastics. What a screamer. The snarl and pops it made on overrun were awesome.
It was only about 17-18 horsepower tops. It’s amazing how much fun that can be.
And my first 350X! Poor girl.

You’re more than welcome! I’ll be doing a BBQ at some point this summer and Oppos will have an open invitation.
It’s hard to describe riding them. Once you “connect” with it you know it. It and it’s great!

That move is what sparked Betty’s rebuild.
I was on the throttle hard but she wouldn’t slide. Refused to slide! Up and over it was.
So, pumped full of adrenaline, soaked with nasty canal water and bleeding from the neck we recovered.

Limping home on adrenaline is the best. The pain setting in on a nice bumpy, rutted trail really helps you realize how fucked up you are.

I’ve posted the Softail here before. It’s a “standard” and still in a garage in Chicagoland. Hasn’t been on the road in close to five years now.
The Sportster is my cousins bike. The one that gave me the Honda. She wants too much though.

Oprah nothing like reminding of friend of something stupid he did. We we out four wheeling and my cousin wasn’t paying attention, almost hit a tree and nail the brakes hard enough that he did a stoppy and the four wheeler ended up upside down in a ditch with bent handle bars. When ever he comes over we make him ride that one so he doesn’t forget.
