... Go try Titanfall 2. It’s a free play weekend from 3/30 to 4/3. You get the multiplayer and just a taste of the single-player. I highly recommend it.
If you want to check out their website before reading anything I’ve written (I suggest this), here’s a link.
Officially the single-player you get to run the Gauntlet and also play the mission The Beacon. You will also be able to play these after the free trial.
Campaign was a little generic in terms of storyline but the universe is cool and it’s completely different from anything on the market. I’m not being paid to say this, I just want them to make another game. But if you do want to pay me for this, I’m cool with it.
And if you hate it, you still played it for free. But there’s giant robots. How could you hate it?

Is the single player any good? The first one obviously had virtually nothing in that realm, basically death match against bots that struggled to stitch together a coherent story. Which is a shame because I got the gist of it and loved it and wanted more, more, more! I grew up playing the Heavy Gear pen & paper RPG which I think is one of the most epic giant robot games every that virtually no one knows about.
Also, I think I’m one of the only people left who isn’t really into multiplayer. I mean I’ll play a little CoD or BF sometimes but I can do maybe an hour tops, I just have no patience to get on and be repeatedly called “cock fag” by some 13 year old punk from halfway across the country. I want to be entertained. Tell me a story, a good story. Immerse me in a universe of fantasy and make believe. With guns and robots and lasers and stuff.

I hate multi-player. Because it’s crappy and I’m horrible at not driving games. The single player was short but I enjoyed the story and limited character development that they gave us. I really want to know more about the universe.

I did the free week of the first Titanfall and bought it. Then after that, the servers became fairly empty.

The lobbies are usually pretty good and matchmaking is quick if you’re willing to play more game types.
