Kinja'd!!!

Had to pick up some cabinets at home Depot and deliver some other furniture we’re ditching on Craigslist, so picked up this guy from Enterprise. Drives surprisingly well. So much room for activities

Kinja'd!!!

Or cabinets

Kinja'd!!!

Also, these things were built with passenger comfort in mind. Note the extra elbow pads for hanging your arm out the window

Kinja'd!!!

Visibility is terrifying to the sides, course, and manual adjust side mirrors on the rental spec models makes remedying that difficult. We’ll see how it does on the highway tomorrow, and I survive the capital beltway in it. But overall, I’m impressed. Far better than the best to shit Ford superduty flatbeds home Depot rents.

How does it compare to the Ford Transit over there?

Don’t know, haven’t driven a Transit. They look identical, and seem to have comparable offerings for sizes and shapes.

When my brother was shopping for a work van he couldn’t get past the visible twig of a rear axle. Ended up in a Transit. I had a hard enough time even convincing him into a Euro-style van. He started his search for an Econoline or Express/Savana.

Did you even notice that it is FWD?

It certainly does drive differently than rear drive trucks I’ve had limited experience in. Felt more car like. So yeah, now that you mention that it’s fwd, that makes sense.

I’ve heard the reliability on these things is absolutely appalling.

I daily this for work. It has its ups and downs. Mine has the cargo area closed off and a full workshop in the back. One thing to notice is its excellent turning radius for its size. Oh wait that’s just about the only thing:)

As long as it makes a 30 minute round trip tomorrow. Wouldn’t surprise me, though

I was impressed by the turning radius, actually!

That and the super high up backup camera (takes a while to get used to but I can back up to a quarter of an inch from an object) are its good points. Reliability and visibility are not it’s good points.

Ahhh damn. Thought it was standard. Nothing to special just kinda like a birds eye view since it sits at the very top of the back above the doors looking down.

Lol the poor reliability... yeah, a Fiat van with a Chrysler powertrain, sounds about right.
