Yeah, no better. I want to know the logistics behind this. The snake couldn’t obviously swallow him in one gulp, so what happened? I get that pythons are constrictors, but how quickly could a snake wrap around a person without them being able to at least try to fight back?

The snake crushes you, breaking your ribs and you die of suffocation. Then, it gulps you down whole, head first. You don’t fight back because you are dead.

I’m just seeing this. But find a pet store with a 6ft constrictor and let it wrap itself around your arm. They are insanely strong, now imagine a snake that is large enough to swallow you. There is no fighting back against that without a machete or gun. Also constrictor teeth are specialized they’re like natural fish hooks. Once the snake has broken into the skin the teeth are locked in. They don’t suffocate you either, they kill by breaking their preys spine.
Snakes are beautiful creatures though. There is a lot of myths around Boas/Pythons being man eaters, and not a ton of evidence. Even if all the claims were true the number of deaths is extremely low.
