I’m a courier, as of two weeks ago. I use my personal 2013 Kia Soul and put on 100-300 miles daily, sometimes more. I’m hoping to eventually trade it for either a Tacoma or a Promaster City or something. I only get 55% commission with a car, but a van or a covered pickup would bump that up to 65-70, and that’s like a $100+ difference each week, but probably more since I would also get more/bigger jobs.

Senior Manager for Engineering/Program Manager for Systems is what my technical title is...I also keep Senior Systems Engineer on the business card since some engineers despise PM types and I grew up on the technical side

Currently alternate from FiST (primary) to FoST (wife’s primary). Take the FiST unless it’s blocked in the driveway. Previous cars I’ve had in this job are GTI, 6 wagon, and Protege5. Odd one out in the parking lot which is mainly filled with leased luxo-barges, Buicks/Azeras/Genesis/etc., and minivans.

I travel a lot, but it’s mainly to other regions...Drive ~9k per year, fly over 100k per year...so I guess to answer your question directly, most of my miles are on a 737 or A320 but at least I don’t have to drive them.

Well thankfully the Michigan State Police runs a police-vehicle test every year and runs 7.8 0-60mph, 20.2 0-100mph, with a top speed of 131MPH.It also goes 60-0 in 133ft and runs a 1:39 lap at Grattan.

It’s not fast by any means, but it gets the job done. I keep looking for an ecoboost version but they are hard to come by with low miles.

That said, my father owned a ‘15 XLT explorer and that thing was truly awful to drive compared to mine. The upgraded suspension, extra ~20hp from the 3.7, and most importantly, the throttle and transmission mapping makes the police-version far more fun to drive. For a 4500+lb SUV, it’s actually somewhat hoon-able.
