So far I’ve found the jump jets to be a little weak, so that’s first on the list to be upgraded. I also don’t care for the steering as much in standard mode, but my younger brother says turning off the traction control helps a ton.
It *is* a little bizarre it has such terrible traction in 2WD(?) mode, though.

I don’t love it, but it is unquestionably a lot less broken than the Mako. Having environmental hazards everywhere is annoying though.

I honestly didn’t mind the Mako when playing on Xbox 360. It’s a disaster on PC with a keyboard and mouse though.

I loathed it, even on the 360. It was a mess to drive, and even worse for combat. The biggest flaw was the fact the turret can’t shoot down, even a little bit, which on rough terrain made it a pain to hit anything (the fact the reticle would go places the gun couldn’t shoot made it all the worse). I always just got out to fight things. Even thresher maws were much easier to fight on foot than in the Mako.

you can’t really drift it until you get the credits together for the button to turn off the traction control. Also its nice to get the 6x4 and 6x6 speed upgrades. You can still launch it off cliffs with reckless abandon though.

That was a mistake, the game is epic! I’ve already spent around 30 hours into it, and I’m maybe 30% done! :)
I had my fears about the nomad, but it’s actually great, and upgradable too. ;)
