That the first gen Colorado was available with seats that appear to have been left over from Suzuki X90s or Geo Trackers. Or maybe a Pontiac Concept car from like 1991.

Such 90s very Japanese, wow

I love it. I also like the look of 2wd Colorados...

Shit, wait. What?

1 side of me says these were custom.

The other says “why would they do that and not also add some bolstering to the front seats”.

Somewhere in the middle lies GM.

Side note--your comment on the seats folding flat. Notice the headrest in contact with the seatback. Because of the way it swings, it had to push DEEP into the seat to get to that position. Not a complaint or criticism, just an observation on how small that space actually is.

It doesn’t look like the headrest is pushed too far into the seat, but it does look like it’s messed up the map pocket a bit. Although it is worth mentioning that in the other pics you can see that front passenger seat isn’t back all the way.

Like this:

Kinja'd!!!

There really isn’t much space to work with back there. The front seats really need to move/tilt forward when you fold those. Not all the way, but a fair amount.

It’s probably like the design that they put on public transportation vehicles (buses, trains, etc.), with the idea being to hide in plain sight the various stains of unknown origin that accumulate on these vehicles (source: I work in public transportation and know what customers can do to interiors...)
