What is going on here.

Apparently the French on the whole aren’t keen on bacon.

Now, boiled peanuts.

What is this madness?

Also do, ‘dude Quails’ lay eggs. I thought it was dudette Quails that laid eggs. If I’m right, those aren’t eggs. Ewwww!!!!

In the USA this food is known as “The South”. It originated in Georgia and should stay in Georgia.

France and bacon? Who knew. When I was there I survived on baugettes, wine, cheese, under cooked meat, and coffee.

Everyone’s got their own tastes

I think they’re delicious but can see why some wouldn’t like ‘em, particularly the offputting texture

Quail eggs are delicious, whether raw, coddled, fried, or pickled. I don’t know what a boiled peanut is or why you’d want one, though.

Think of edamame for southerners but browner and slimier.

5-pound bag of salted roasted peanuts for $6.50 at Costco. Deal. And you can keep the quail eggs.

Fresh boiled peanuts are fantastic, and I’ll fight you if you disagree. But boiled peanuts in a can... why? They’re just not good if not fresh...

The Southerners are also the ones that found out skunk “doesn’t taste that bad.” They have their ups but far too many downs.

When I was younger I smoked something called ‘skunk’ but it wasn’t the animal variety.

That seems all fine and well. However sometimes you have to try things that make you say “Fuck it, why not?” Skunk falls under that for everyone where yours falls under that for people with heart health issues.

The French love bacon, they just love it in cut up little bits that they call lardons. Observe, the tarte flambée , or as I call it, foo foo French/German flatbread bacon pizza.
