You can clean your A/C condenser to improve your A/C performance, or help it operate easier. You basically just spray some cleaner on it. ETCG did it and the high pressure side dropped by 60 psi (results 13:38.)

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I did it myself today. I used a little bottle I bought at a hardware store for $10. I didn’t test the system so I don’t know how well it works, but I’ll belive the video. Worst case I wasted $10 and an hour hammering out a bracket that magically made itself crooked after I took it off.

It’s called condenser coil cleaner.

I wonder if something like this would work as well. Probably the same thing but in an aerosol can, simpler operation than to buy a whole jug diluting it.

Yeah there are a few brands, I think they do the same thing.

hmm interesting I think many people are like me and the obvious thing is to make sure the condenser is clear of leaves and crap but I never thought a cleaner would work that well. Of course I have also heard that like spray painting a aircooled engine case black or a intercooler or radiator black lowers its effectiveness which seems kinda crazy.

Makes sense. I guess that’s just not something most people think of too often. AC’s are one of those things you don’t care about until they don’t work.

Paint is a good insulator for as thin as it is.

I’d imagine it’s legit since he heard it from a professional a HVAC guy.

That’s kind of what got me thinking. I sold the Civic I had in WA and bought the Teg for the A/C, so when I moved back to Texas I was looking for preventative stuff to do for A/C. Because here it’s almost as important as the engine lol.

OH I dont doubt it is but I just never heard of it before and thinking a spray cleaner could have so much effect on the performance of it i wouldnt think it would work so well.

Yeah thats what I mean its so thin I would think it wouldn’t really have much measurable effect.
