I Have Never Seen 330,000 Miles Treat a Car So Well

I was randomly messing around on Cars.com and decided to search for 4Runners from highest mileage-to lowest. This one kinda stood out because it looked way too clean to have 330,000 miles on it, but it does.

I have zero interest in buying something with that many miles on it, but I still thought it was cool how well this thing still looks.

Shit pictures, but can’t see any dents, scratches or oxidation. Even the headlights aren’t cloudy.

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Like, look at this shit. I’ve seen cars with 100,000 miles on them looking 5x worse than this.

Kinja'd!!!

How?

Kinja'd!!!

How? Explain. How?

Highway miles and an anal owner. Probably never seen dirt.

Our work Tacoma has 312k miles on it, and other than the carpet disappearing because it got wet and abused, the rest of the interior has barely any wear. The seat has no tears, all of the plastics are unworn, etc. And that’s on a truck that gets abused on a daily basis.

Single occupant long distance commuter, weekly cleaning, maintained by the book.

200,000 - “Hmm, might become expensive to maintain...”
350,000 - “This thing’s never gonna break!”

easy: because Toyota makes the best cars and trucks :)

Also, 330k is a LOT, especially in only 10 years’ time. over 30k a year is mostly highway miles, which are relatively easy on a car.

But it will do another 330k with no problems

Yeah if a car is past 250,000 miles chances are everything that needs to be replaced already has been nice the last 50-100,000 miles.

That’s true. My car has 241k miles and everything needs to be replaced. The next owner is going to luck out on this one.

-Minty af despite age and insane mileage

-Top trim level in good color combo

-Equipped with engine of which there are million mile examples running about

-More than likely precisely maintained by the guidelines in the owners manual

Hell, I’d drive this if I could get it for $9k-10k.

What you really should do is combine them. A4 + A6 = A10! W12 that seats 8 and double the trunk space of a normal Audi!

Nice, 4.0?

What are your thoughts on the 4.7? My friend has an ‘05 with 170k and it’s never needed anything besides a timing belt.

I once owned a 14 year old Lexus with 140k on it with an interior that looked brand new except for some wear on the steering wheel and a few creases in the driver’s seat leather. I replaced it with a 6 year old Chevy truck with 70k that started falling apart on the inside as soon as I got it. Trim pieces fell off, an interior door handle broke, labels wore off of the buttons, dash lights burned out, the seat cushions sagged, etc. Toyota just screws their shit together to last.

My brother in law’s Jetta TDI is one of those cars. He bought it at 180,000 miles and has replaced. Nearly anything that moves or is made of rubber. Now it has 230,000 miles and is basically a new car.

Despite how mint it is, this has to be a hard sell. Especially at that price no?

2.7.

The million mile Tundra is a 4.7, and it’s I’m the UZ family. It’s pretty bulletproof.
