Kinja'd!!!

My kids got tortoises from a friend the other day. The next day one of them went missing and Incouldn’t find it anywhere. I figured one of the neighborhood hawks had grabbed it. I’m mot too big into the idea of keepin wild animals as pets, and wasn’t too upset about nature taking its course. A small I was drinking my morning coffee some of the other wild animals I’ve enslaved started losing their minds. I went over to their coop and the missing tortoise had reappeared. He shall now be named Geronimo.

I was pretty surprised at how scared the chickens were, as they aren’t really scared of anything. They pacified both my pit bulls. I normally let them free range around my yard, but I’m BBQin today and didn’t want chickenshit everywhere.

Get a turkey, that makes a chicken seem... well, like a chicken.

Yes they are. I had to introduce new ones into the group Inalready had. Took six months before they stopped trying to kill the new ones. Every once in a while they’ll kill a pigeon.

I have had a tortoise for 25 years. If he would have a change, he would escape and likely never to be seen. He isn’t trying to get away from his home, but he has mindset about doing what first comes to his mind. He goes to places and people carry him back. I’ll take him out during warm summer days, but I have to follow him closely.

In this country, he would very unlikely survive the winter. He is a Russian tortoise with skills to hibernate, but the winter’s just too long.

90% of dogs are really afraid of him. I think that many animals think that tortoises resemble snakes (silent, slow, don’t make much noises etc). So if they dislike snakes, they dislike tortoises as well.
