I was really pleased to see the Lowe’s Burger Hut Pepsi Chevrolet Red Buffalo Wings Renault-Honda on pole there, but the chooch of the race goes to the Sebmax Hamilttas Mercedes-Fuckit GLK350-F1one!!1 for that amazing over under double flat pass under caution in the third quarter. Tell you what, that was past the friction circle of grips, maybe even illegal but it’s Aussie rules so fack off, mate. Hell of a race, poorly done to all around. I mean, maybe. I haven’t watched it. That’s what I hear.

I heard there was a lot of overtaking. Or not. Didn’t see it. Seems to be Ferrari/Mercedes this year. So I heard.

I didn’t watch it yet either, I’ve kind of lost interest over the last couple of years, but I try to get back into it each season. The cars do look better now, with the wider tires.

I don’t even remember when I stopped watching. The last time I saw all of the event probably was Imola 1994...

Ugh, what a dark weekend that was. I remember getting up at 4am to watch that race like always, and just being in shock, as much as a 14 year old halfway around the world could be. The broadcast here didn’t stay with it that I recall, so I had to wait for the newspapers to make a tiny mention of it the next day. Ratzenberger was bad enough, but for two to go, that was unheard of since the 70's. Changed the sport, for sure.

The man was a God. Too bad it totally over-shadowed the loss of Roland. Then again: if only Ayrton would have died all the measures taken to prevent accidents to be lethal probably wouldn’t have been as rigorous. Sad day, our broadcasting just kept on focus on Ayrton’s car, terrifying. That was the first race I didn’t enjoy. And after that I only could watch summaries for a while. And after that F1 became plain boring...
