I can’t pick between the new XF or the CT6
The XF is just plain handsome, the CT6 doesn’t photograph well (or the photographers who shoot the pictures I’ve seen just suck) but they stop me in my tracks every time I see one in person.

I think the Mazda6 is a pretty damn good looking sedan. Mazda’s current design language just works so well.

Me too. But the thing about the 6 is that while it is definitely handsome, it isn’t really that special and tends to blend in. It’s one of the best in the $25k FWD crowd, but it’s still a mainstream transverse engine proportioned car.

I believe the two are related. With the crossover becoming the main family vehicle, the sedan is free to gain style at the expense of functionality, the 4 door coupes being a prime example.
Of course, increasing engineering, manufacturing and materials knowledge helps too lol

That’s a Fiat though not a Lincoln. I’ve seen two in auto shows and two on the road. The door handles that stick out destroys the side profile of the car from any view but straight on. I hate it.

I hate the plastic ‘mustache’ on the S60 R-Design bumper—standard S60 for me all the way (on the right).
But then again I’d go V60 anyways so in terms of the S60 it’s a moot point—still hate the R-Design bumper on the wagon though!

Ugh, I want to like it but the front just has too many unresolved curves that just make it look wrinkly; if they just smoothed out a few and put a bumper bar it’d be perfect. Like a modern version of this:
Side note: Am I the only one who prefers the spindle with the bumper bar? I think it makes the car look more elegant and restrained rather than with a gawping maw at the nose.

Though it’s ageing (tenth year on sale now) I love the modernized take on the old Citroen shape seen in the C5, especially with the concave rear window—that and Hydractive 3+ lets it ride super low which looks awesome.
And finally, I love the new XF—like an XE, but longer and subsequently with better proportions.

I like the bumper bar when the grille treatment is just vertical bands but I like this new diamond pattern without it. I see what you mean about too many lines - the style definitely isn’t for everyone but I’m imagining from the photos how it will all look in person and I think it will work well like front of the RC that looks better in real life than photos.

You know just those two pictures is enough for me to realize that while there are plenty of modem coupes and hypercar designs that I love, modem sedans a pretty blah. Something like a Falcon Futura 4-door has more style in one taillight than an entire 2017 Fusion does.

I generally agree, however I think the traditional 3 and 5 series sedans take to the ///M treatment better.
I think the current M3 is the best looking sedan they make right now but that’s followed by the 4GC and the 6GC. I think the M6GC looks too much like the regular 6GC
