What car? I need to know so I can never buy anything with that engine.
Although now that I think about it I wouldn’t be surprised if my wife’s Fit has a plastic valve cover,

2001 Hyundai Elantra, the real issue is that the plug tube gaskets havnt been changed in 100,000 miles, they became harder than the valve cover so when I tried prying them out things went south...

Every car I’ve owned or worked on had aluminum valve covers. But I guess I’m just not caught up with the times. And yeah my wife’s Fit does have a Plastic valve cover, hidden under the plastic part of the intake manifold.
