Let’s play a game. How many badges are on your car? Or, put more P R O F O U N D L Y, how often does your car insist that it is in fact... itself? You can see that my car is not suffering from an identity crisis. Being from the 80s means lots of badges.

Factory: Mini badge on the hood, Mini badge and Cooper badge on the hatch, one Mini logo on each wheel.

Aftermarket: Big stripes down the side which say Cooper in Carrera font.

Five. Two Toyota ovals - one front and one rear - and three badges to identify it as a Toyota Camry LE on the trunk.

My dad’s truck has the fewest. An ‘80s Toyota text badge on the grille, two TOYOTA 4WD badges on either cab side, and a TOYOTA decal on the back for a grand total of four.

Pony in the grille, “GT Mustang” on either front fender, Ford oval on the rear, and “Mustang GT” across the rear bumper. That’s not too bad.

...until you count the little Ford oval on each wheel cap. That’s a bit excessive, IMO. But at least they’re small, I guess.

Only three, one bowtie on the grille, and S10 on each door. Well, actually 5 because there’s a bowtie attached to each S10 logo. It should have Chevrolet and an S10/bowtie badge on the tailgate, but doesn’t for whatever reason.

It also has a V6 VORTEC on the airbox, but that’s not really a badge.

My wife’s ‘07 X3 has a little 3.0si badge on both sides of the car on the front fender. In 2007, in the US market, there was ONLY the 3.0si.
