Kinja'd!!!

I pulled Gary Johnson’s campaign sticker of the hallowed ass of the Vespa and replaced it with a local brewery that I love. Make fun of me if you want, but I preferred a clueless gentle stoner to an orange skinned naricisstic maniac or the annointed successor of a corrupt system.

Smoke up, Gary Johnson. Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you.

I’ve voted Gary twice

Mostly because I lived what he did for New Mexico and I’d love to see that for the rest of the Us

I’ll probably vote Gary again

I understand how you feel. The two-party system has completely alienated most Americans and by and large only caters to the extreme fringes of their voter bases these days.

I voted 3rd party as well. Can’t even remember who I went with...I think Gary. My conscious wouldn’t allow me to vote for either clown. 2 party system is failing us.

Yay beer!

I too lived Gary Johnson in New Mexico. He was a good Governor, and I voted for him.

As a fun fact, I used to talk to him on a regular basis back in my lifeguarding days in highschool and after. After he broke his leg on Everest, he rehabbed at my pool during the early bird lap swims a couple of days per week, and I worked a lot of early birds at that time. He would walk laps of the pool to strengthen his leg without the impact of walking on dry land, as he was still on crutches at the time.

In person, he was very nice and very sharp. I’m not sure if his persona today is something about how he comes across on camera, or if he has just smoked a lot of weed in the ensuing years.

All I learned from this thread was that there are more Oppos who lived in New Mexico when I did than I would have guessed.

(I didn’t vote for Johnson in New Mexico, because I wasn’t old enough to vote then.)

Gary Johnson isn’t that much different than Trump, policy wise. He’s very much into letting big corporation do whatever they want. He’s only against the drug war because he sold his construction business and got into the marijuana trade (he was CEO and president of Cannabis Sativa, Inc.). He’s not a pothead, he just knows that it’s a good way to trick non far right wing people to vote for him. Much like the whole “Ron Paul revolution campaign”. These guys and gals are all con men. He founded the largest construction firm in New Mexico. As a Southwest native, I can show you the destruction construction companies have caused in our desert. He has the same end game as all these other far right wing politicians: transfer power from politicians to CEOs (who are really just a different type of politician). Fuck all these guys, you’ll be served better by the beer.
