Kinja'd!!!

We’re all a bit gun shy here in Madison about taking our snow tires off too soon, even though it hasn’t snowed in weeks. This Smart car is rocking the Tire Rack exclusive Sport Edition wheels and snow tires. My snows are still on too.

Snow tires are designed for cold performance so there’s no harm in keeping them on without snow/ice around. Mine probably won’t come off until it’s consistently 50+ (soon please!!)

In upstate New York, I normally kept mine on until at least April (wanted all danger of snow to pass). I don’t see anything weird about having them still on at this point, it’s not like they are studded. You take a little more wear, deal with a little more noise, and some slightly worse handling.

In my case, there’s harm to my ears, since at highway speeds in the dry my Blizzaks are LOUD AS FUCK.

It’s less the presence of snow and more how cold it still gets, since summer tires have a minimum temperature, below which the manufacturer no longer guarantees proper function.

Mine go on once it gets close to the 27 degree limit on my summers and stay on until that is no longer a possibility.

Yeah yeah, I know, that’s why my summers are still chilling in my garage.

Ahhh... My Firestone Winterforces luckily aren’t too bad compared to my BFG summer tires. I’d probably have a different perspective if they were considerably louder.

(And tell me about loud a.f. wheels... I’m finally getting my rear bearings replaced and I couldn’t be more excited to have a car that I don’t dread driving (over 30 mph))

Hmm, the BMW looked so much like a GTO at first. It is uncanny.

Well go one year newer and the GTO looks better while being cheaper and more reliable.

That was the first blue GTO from the same angle as my car I could find.

But I respectfully disagree that either of them looks better than my car, thankyouverymuch.

Well in your defense, the pic with the Smart has my stock wheels with snow tires and the nice artsy photo has my summer wheels, so you could have thought they were different cars?
