You really should have taken the opportunity to renew your vows while you were in there.

Side note: I have a childhood family friend who is a powerplant engineer for the RR RB211 with American in the DFW area. I should try to arrange a tour trip sometime.

What is the second engine? It appears to be incredibly long and have very little to it.

John Wargo, lead technician at NASA Glenn’s Propulsion System Laboratory (PSL) is performing an inspection on the inlet ducting, upstream of the Honeywell ALF 502 engine that was recently used for the NASA Engine Icing Validation test.

That was taken on a tour of Delta Tech Ops arranged by another Opponaut. It was a blast.

I don’t remember how exactly he didn’t die, I’d have to look it up.

That explains why I couldn’t think of an airplane that could have been on. Thanks!

His cranial (brain bucket + mickey mouse ears) got ripped off his head and went down the motor, slightly destroying it. Also, the intake narrowed to the point that his head wouldn’t fit through, so his grape got kind of crushed while the then annihilated motor spun down / ate itself.

Inlet guide vanes stopped his (thankfully helmeted) head and the massive airflow blockage (his body) caused a flame out, stalling the engine.
