Neat idea, but horrible in real life.
Where exactly is a line of cars like that of nearly all the same height, stopped in a perfectly straight line, all waiting patiently still without any open doors or attempt at maneuvering, AND with an open space directly in front of whatever is causing the jam?
Seriously, it looks like it took 5min minimum to jack the car up, drive slowly over the line, then go back down. Nobody in traffic is going to be that relaxed waiting in line for 5 minutes when there’s obviously nothing in front of the stopped car.
Maybe it could work in a parking lot, but that’s a lot of weight and non-idealized suspension for one situation where it maybe could work.

Totally a stunt for marketing purposes. Yeah, can you imagine actually trying to use it? How about you find that perfectly straight, narrow line of cars, but then come across one you can’t get past. Now you’re stuck awkwardly over someone? Just to scratch the surface of real-world issues....

Pretty much, yeah. Would be cool on a show car, for no reason except fun. I bet this is fun to play around with as a demo car. Nothing more.

This is very clearly not a functional prototype. It’s all CGI. You can tell by how easily the tires slide sideways while it is expanding.
