First Ford Focus RS I’ve seen. The dealer got it in recently.I didn’t realize they were that expensive, 42,000 dollars for a hatchback? I realize they are competent cars but I expected somewhere around 36,000
Forgive the bad photos please.

The dealer markup is around $10K. Saw my first one at GRC Seattle last year. Gorgeous car.

It’s supposed to be $36k, the rest must be markup.

It depends on the options. I think they max out much, much higher.

I saw one a couple weeks ago. A friend of mine recently bought one but I haven’t seen it yet.

Starting price on one of these is USD$36,995.
The wheels on the car above are USD$1,500-2,000 option alone.
It’ll probably have one or two more options if the dealership has put a mark up on it.
$40,000 is about the cost of the base RS in the U.K.
But we each have different purchase and tax systems so it’s subjective.

That’s about right. They start at 37k and then options.

The wheels/tire option is about $2k, and with that sticker, I would bet it has the RS2 package (Nav, heated seats, etc), I think that is about $2600. With a starting price close to $37K, $42k sounds like no dealer mark up.
I have a Nitrous Blue one with RS2 and without the forged wheels, sticker was just over $40k.
It is a very fun car, and can be a handful on rought road surfaces. But OMG is it quick.

Nah, this one is optioned out. Here’s a link to the window sticker.
$36,120 base MSRP
$1395 Forged wheels
$2785 RS2 Package (navigation + heated seats/mirrors/wheel)
$895 Moonroof
$875 Destination & Delivery
Total of $42,070 sticker.

Black is the worst color on these. My local dealer has a black one that has sat for months. They also want $50k.

I swear I had read an article somewhere saying the dealers were marking them up $7-$10K. Optioned out however makes sense.

Oh some are, but this one is optioned out. My local dealer has one listed at $50k. And it’s been there for months.
