It’s a Trekker!! The pre-1st-generation 4Runner. It was basically an experiment Toyota conducted with the help of Winnebago to see if people would want to buy an enclosed version of the Hilux with back seats and a full interior. People did! So put the 4Runner into production.

Imo it’s a royal pain in the ass. It’s fine to do it once per year, seasonally, if you have a soft top to swap out. Many people think that if you take the top off, it’ll never be water tight again.
Those people probably didn’t know that putting the top back on requires reinstalling the bolts in a certain sequence, and to a certain torque spec.

If I had a Wrangler I’d do it a lot, even the four-door roofs come off in smaller manageable pieces, but that just looks like a lot of roof(with glass) to maneuver and store
