On my way to the pet store, I saw prominently displayed this little number at the Ferd dealer: Pre-facelift 2nd gen tC, in white. I actually thought about it enough to look it up when I got home.
When I saw the asking price, became even more tempting to at least just maybe even briefly consider possibly test driving it maybe. Perhaps.
Until I saw this:
Audible sigh. If I wanted an automatic 4-banger Camry, then I’d just buy a Camry (NO). Oh well. I have a large quantity of lunchbox parts coming in next week to distract me from car browsing... Yeah right. I have more tabs open on my browser than a porn addict.

Yeah, the manual is what makes these cars some fun to drive, it doesn’t have the power to make up for any auto nonsense. At least the tc’s don’t have that weird leather boot shift that makes the car look like a manual from a distance, unlike the FRS/BRZ.
So this means you will (for now) allow the lunchbox to take more of your money?

A tC will be the prime candidate for my oldest kids first car. Any reason is a good reason to browse used cars.

I had an 05 tC 5 speed. Great car, it wasn’t the best at anything, but it was ok at everything.
