I had an Old Speckled Hen after cleaning a colleagues car earlier.
It was quite something. I was talking to my neighbour as my colleague turned up, as he was reversing, he had too much steering lock on and the front left hand corner, kissed the right hand corner of my neighbour’s car. Me and my neighbour shouted ‘stop’ as we both heard plastic crunching.
My colleague looked like he was going to throw up, but thankfully he’s allowed one crunch a year without damaging his no claims bonus and doesn’t have to pay his excess.
My neighbour though annoyed was trying to keep my colleague calm.
Insurance was all sorted out in five minutes over the phone. Neighbour’s car is going in the shop next week and will get a courtesy car while his is in the shop.
Needless to say. I got on with cleaning the car afterwards and all is good.
