I was behind a 2018 Honda Odyssey (all badges were taped over) about half an hour ago and snapped a few photos. Got home and Googled and found that there are plenty of pictures available already... it looks the same. Is it worth my time to get the photos off my iPhone and post them? Do Jalops want to see?

You mean this? It looks like a Mazda. At least the cutout for the back side window isn’t as annoying. I’ve got a 2003 Oddy, and I drove a maxed out 2017 and hated it.

Damn, I didn ’ t think they could make it worse, but I was wrong. On the plus side, at least they re - integrated the sliding door with the beltline. But they went and did that swoopy fake black thing that the Nissan Murano and the...what ’ s that car called — oh, yeah, every other car currently made — is doing. And it looks like the ugly, later version of the Mazda 5, not the nice clean one. Unnecessary busyness in the creasing, and once again, shitty wheels. I can definitively say this one will not grow on me. Every time I see a Pacifica, though, I ’ m actually intrigued. Maybe it ’ s because they ’ re 1:100 to the Odyssey here.

So clean. Some may say “blah, beige” but I say understated classic simplicity. I have found my eye lingering on the few Pacificas I see, but I need to get a good look inside. The last Chrysler van I drove in felt like cheap plastic everywhere and the seats were shitty and uncomfortable. I hope they’ve upped their interior game since then. I also wonder about long-term reliability. Sure, I had to put a donor engine on my Oddy last summer, but we’ve had it for 12 years and I see many more ahead. Somehow, I can’t see that swooshy van in this setting.
