Maxing out at $55k. Sigh. Even if they sold them here, Lotus prices in the US would still suck.
Could you imagine if Elises were sold in the US for $40k? I bet they would sell like mad.

I don’t know man...used Elises are going for that much already. Right?
Used Evoras are going for ~$54k.
Neither seem to be selling like hot cakes (hence the depreciation).

True, but a $40-$55k used car is a lot different from a $40k new car. I forget the last time Elises were sold in the U.S. 2005? I can’t imagine any bank would give out a $40,000 loan for a 10+ year old track car at anything near single digit interest rates.
If Lotus had a partner/owner with a large dealer network, warranty, and a financing arm, I’m sure they could clean up.
