...in all my years I have never seen more exciting racing than the battle between the two dinky little Sprites at the very start of this video. Why can’t all racing be like this?

Shall have to watch the whole thing later, when not at work. Great stuff with the Sprites - is it just me or does the green one resemble a bit a dwarf Cobra Daytona?

The pass at 2:58 into the chicane was particularly ballsy.

God, this is fantastic. I watched all weekend and missed this race.

It does! And the yellow one looks like a mini-me of a 250 GTO. Brilliant little things :)

Man, I would watch the Members Meeting EVERY WEEKEND. Nothing but great cars being raced FOR REALS.

It really was! Definitely a sphincter-puckering moment.

I watched all weekend and missed this too. It was only sitting down with my morning cup of tea that I just flicked on the live stream and this was right at the start. Needless to say my tea was stone-cold before my attention actually moved away from the dinky little rocketships duking it out :)

Have you seen me little suspension geometry post that went up this morning? It seems that there were a whole passel of suspension engineers at Ford in the early ‘60s who were mad, mad, mad.

Having learned what I now have about ‘63/’64 geometry, I’d really love to see what the suspension rig under the front of that ‘64 Galaxie at Brands Hatch was. Whether they were running an OE Ford upgrade style suspension brace or merely braving through with the Grandmother-heading-to-market loose suspension madness. Probably the former.
