Boom! You just moved to a fictional city that’s extremely crowded like NYC. Also, just outside the city there’s tons of very twisty back roads to drive.
So. You have a choice between two cars to be your ONLY car.
A smart car or a Fiat 500, in any trim or model but NO barabus or Abarth models.
What would you choose and why?
Edit: Also WHAT THE FUCK! You can get both with 16" wheels optional! Does wheel size mean anything?
Edit2: It’s come to my attention SMART no longer offers manuals. I’ll exempt this fact for the game. You can have a manual SMART for this.

Smart offers a manual stock for model years 2016 and 2017 in the US market. (This generation is the first with a true manual or a DCT available, thanks to it sharing a platform and powertrain with the new Renault Twingo. Both previous generations only had automated single-clutch boxes. I don’t count the first-gen Forfour as a Smart, as it was a reskin of a Mitsubishi Colt, but it had a 5-speed manual available at least.)
For model year 2018, the gasoline engine will be discontinued, leaving the electric, which has a single-speed gearbox.
In any case, as an only car... Fiat 500 Pop, naturally aspirated, manual, but I wouldn’t exactly be happy with it. I’m not a fan of turbos, the naturally aspirated Smart Forfour is incredibly slow, and from everything I’ve heard, the Twingo III/W453 Forfour/C453 Fortwo stability control is tuned to induce massive understeer anyway, negating the benefit of RWD. The electrics just don’t have enough range for me to pick them (and the fact that FCA builds the 500e out of spite is worrying), and the Forfour could even hide more battery than the Fortwo has, they just didn’t.

This is difficult for me. I had a fiat based on the same platform as the 500 and it was a nightmare to own. But it was also really fun to drive. I think I’d go 500, it’s probably the most car like to drive. Unless I can have the longer Smart Forfour, I’d rather have that.
