I love the Barchetta! Still my favorite roadster design of modern times I think....they aren’t that expensive to buy even. I’ve considered importing one from Japan at some point, as they can be had in decent shape for reasonable money there.

Well....it’s going well, but it’s only a Term position, so once it ends in June, I am back in the same boat of not having a full-time job again :/
It was mostly just “considered importing” in the gearhead “I looked it up many times and would love to own one” sense. :P
The 126 is still at the top of my list because I’m crazy. :P

My dad owns one! Paid about €3,500 for it, awesome little car. Obviously it’s not a sports car like a Miata can be, be for a weekend fun little roadster, it’s pretty much perfect. Cheap Fiat underpinnings make for cheap and easy maintenance too.

I would love to be actually serious! A fellow on the Import Era forums I used to frequent (mostly a JDM forum) imported one from Japan who lives in Alberta....loved it and got it for fairly cheap, his was orange if memory serves. The importer had done a video on it before he delivered it to the fellow who bought it. Fun-looking little car!

If I had the money down the road to own more than one ‘weekend’ ride, the Barchetta would definitely be near the top of the list!!!
I actually haven’t been looking for jobs that much awhile working this one. It goes until June, which is quite a long time, so if I did find a full-time job, the chances of them holding it for several months for me are somewhat slim :(. There is a chance I could be there to cover for somebody again next year for a few months but as it’s covering a maternity leave, it’s only a temporary position.

I guess I was never really serious about the M3 until I was like holy shit I can actually afford one. Did a lot of dreaming back in high school and college.
My job out of college didn’t start until September, and I graduated in December. It’s possible that someone likes you enough that they’d be flexible enough with you on a start date. It’s something to think about. We both know how shitty not having a full time job is.
