Meh, I did it before in my Solstice, and it was even snowing a bit. Just have the header blowing with the floor setting, you’ll be fine.

It was December 2010 and I had spilled a coke on my computer so I had to take it to Apple to see if they could fix it. I was a third year in school and didn’t have a car, my roommate did. However this week, the Grand Am GT was in the shop so he had his mom’s car, an e46 325i convertible. It was something like 30F out. We were both like, well we’ve got a convertible we have to drop the top. So we did, it was freezing on the highway, but the the reaction we got from this guy in a Tundra smoking a cigar was worth it. He pointed at us and nodding as to say, these guys know what’s up.

LoL. I’ve owned a few ragtops, but never felt the urge to put the top down unless it was sunny and mid-60s or better.

Huh. Exact opposite, I feel like I’m missing out every drive I take with the top up. But I love the extra awareness you get from the top down for spirited driving... And not being hunched over the wheel haha

Actually not as uncomfortable as you might think. Would do this in the Miata fairly often. Keep the windows rolled up, put the heater on high, and bobs your uncle.

I put the top down in the Miata whenever i can. With a hat on its quite warm at 40F
