2002 Chevy “Bel Air” concept car

Kinja'd!!!

This monstrosity looks like a convertible early 2000s Malibu. I also like the Saturn Sky looking silver windshield frame. Also why the hideous 19 in rimzzzz?

Kinja'd!!!

The rear looks like a bad 2000s Cadillac rear end job and almost nothing like a 55 Bel Air. I really don’t see how this is the successor to the Bel Air, especially when they look nothing alike...

The interior is really strange. It’s modernize but has spots of retro design such as the steering wheel and gauges. Also bench seats, which is the only thing I like. I mean what convertible of the 2000s offered a front bench?

The rear end is more or less Challenger, the rest could be fixed with a few tweaks. And yeah, those wheels are unfortunate.

I actually kind of like it, but not as a BelAir

Imagine how quality that interior would feel because that entire dash would be made out of that lovely GM plastic.

Cool Retro, but not production ready.

Thank God they didn’t sully the Bel Air’s good name by putting this into production.

My uncle (Ford employee) tried to convince me to use his discount to pick up one of the retro Thunderbirds (or alternatively an Escape). Really glad I ignored that and got my Dutch Mitsubishi instead, but I’ll say that the Thunder was a lot more sorted than this non-sense.

There are some things I like about this, but the front end and dash are atrocious.

The wheels are a product of it being 15 years old. The chrome look didn’t age well.

I like the clean sides and rear treatment but it looks more 80s monte carlo than any Belair.

It looks happy. The front end needs a new grille and MOAR CHROAM! It should also have chrome bumpers. I like it, but not as a Bel Air. And that interior should be left outside in the sun for an hour so it can melt and no one can see it ever again.

Actually, that front end looks more like a Monza. If they had called it a Monza I probably wouldn’t have minded, but nothing about that concept says “Bel Air” to me.
