Non-stop rain flooded NE 124th Street, the main road linking Duvall to Novelty Hill. Google Maps was apparently unaware of this and has led me to a slow, agonizing demise.

I’ve been in that situation. A few years ago a crash shut down I-95 *in both directions* near the exit I took to work at the time. The commute to work was glorious that morning, since there was almost no traffic in my direction and all the cops were stationed on on-ramps to stop traffic entering. Traffic was so snarled the rest of the day on surface streets that I went out of my way to take the back-back-back way home and still got there faster than I would have using any other way.

Pretty frequent occurrence in that area, I have a friend living in Lake Joy and gets stuck at home several times a year due to the roads flooding.

My inlaws live out in Duvall... I heard about that earlier today. A little surprised that it isn’t marked on maps. Does Waze show it?
Edit: Just checked and Waze does show it. You’re screwed. Seriously screwed. You’re probably better off turning around and taking a different route back over Novelty Hill...
