I can’t judge based on feeling. I bought my Hyundai commuter appliance because I needed a car that could drive 80 miles a day, every day.
Although, if this commute ever ends, I will be investigating considerably less practical cars.

There has been a pretty big push recently for companies to innovate in the small bike segment, I really hope this lights off another 250cc sportbike war like in early 90s Japan. I very badly need a 250cc 4 cylinder sport bike that revs to 20000rpm in my collection

When I park my small cars (i.e. all that I’ve had), I’ll back in with my nose to the end of the line - or if I’m slightly crooked, I’ll back in a little further, then pull up to the end of the line and straighten out. Often times, this actually allows enough space for the car(s) next to me (typically parked nose in, all the way into the spot) to open their front door all the way and complete clear my car without hitting it. No doubt it’d be the same with your Miata... though I take it you wouldn’t worry too much about a door ding or scratch... XD

Lol, I have used this Miata as a grinding table for parts. I am somewhat, subconsciously hoping someone dive bombs the spot thinking it’s open...
But with other stuff I do the same thing as you... or I just park waay the hell far away, in an end-spot preferably.

I do really want a grom but they hold their value really well here and exceed my budget a bit. Ill probably end up with an older cb125 or something.

I’m really hoping the new competition from the kawi will start to finally drive down used prices on the grom. Kinda like the grom did to the ruckus. I don’t know if you remember but the ruckus used to be impervious to depreciation as well, then the grom came along and cut used prices approximately in half.
