These babies will grace the intake of my Miata 1.6 as soon as I get the new ECU sorted out.

That reminds me I want to get a fuel rail, I don’t know why, I don’t need one, but I want one! I got new fuel line bits in there though. I never work on fuel injection or have ECUs, it’s fun to see what people do cuz I have no clue, that rhymes.

Yup, Jenvey 42mm IRTBs, and RX-8 440 cc injectors.

Not shown: Megasquirt DIYPNP w/sequential injector card, Bosch wideband O2 sensor, Intake air temp sensor, vacuum block, throttle position sensor, blood, sweat, tears, etc.

Nice! Sounds like you are doing it right. Are the RX-8 injectors plug and play with the original wiring?

whoah! So many questions - I’m surprised you’re doing this to a 1.6 and not the 1.8? And not that it’ll matter because this will surely sound nuts but what kind of gains are you shooting for?

Yes, but not with the stock ECU.

I’m shooting for gains in the “sounds like nuts” category. With this, header, and exhaust, maybe a couple dozen more HP over stock at best. I’m not looking to drag w/Mustangs and Subies, just to have something that’s fun and that I can admire every time I see it and hear it.

That sounds like SO much fun. I’m looking for a project and especially given the size of my current car an NA would be so refreshing.

Rolling properly on Panasports, I see. So hot. I’m not patient enough for a carbed engine though.

They are Enkei Compes actually. Correct would be Watanabes but they are way more expensive. My friend owns this shop so he keeps the carbs tuned, I got new 40's so it’s a lot better now with the new ones.

Of course not with the stock ECU, I was just wondering if they needed an adapter or something like that. Good luck on your build man, keep Oppo updated on your progress!
